A week without matches might mean a week of rest for some clubs, but not for the robots running MFC Judge.  Instead, this past week saw the first of several changes - as the club ditched its inagural crest, unveiled a new one, and took the first step in what is set to be a transformative year.

Another cup run, another flame-out.  Like the Preseason Tournament and IMFF Cup before it, this week saw MFC Judge flame out of MFL's Holiday of Heroes.  It was a tough group, but the club's last place finish disappointed all the fans that came out to support the boys in green and orange.

The past week was a busy one for MFC Judge, as the club competed in MFL's inaugural Boxing Day clashes, started group stage play in the year-end Holiday of Heroes tournament, and bid farewell to another player.  

Just a few days after the transfer window opened and MFC Judge has already been involved in five moves - three departures and two arrivals.  In a normal world this might seem excessive - sort of like Fat Albert's plate at an all-you-can-eat buffet,  In the topsy-turvy world that is the MFL, however, it is to be expected.

The celebration of MFC Judge's first-ever title is one that all of Deventer - and football fans around the world - will have etched in their memories forever.  From Jean-Claude Schoeter's hour-long kegstand to Elmar Jacobs' rendition of Shakira's seminal hit "Hips Don't Lie," it was a memorable night for all involved.  An estimated 750,000 fans lined the streets as a group of animatronic lions - the national animal of the Netherlands - pulled floats of players and coaches along the route, all the way to De Brink Square.  Once there the party - and the ensuing shenanigans - really kicked off.

As "PopoZão" blared from the Metastadium's speakers, confetti fell onto the pitch and the players celebrated.  In a title race that came down to the final day of Alpha 0.3, MFC Judge captured the Bronze League title after defeating Palma Pandas FC 4-0.  Behind a hatttick from Elmar Jacobs (who also captured the Golden Boot with his performance), a goal from Jamie Thornton and an all-around dominant performance from the rest of the squad,  MFC Judge finished the season with 39 out of a possible 54 points, two ahead of runner-up Inter Madrid.  It was a season to remember for Deventer, one that will live forever in the city's footballing-history.

It wasn't perfect, but it was enough to stretch MFC Judge's unbeaten run to eight matches and keep the club atop the table - and in control of their own destiny - with just two matches left in the Bronze League campaign.

Kissing your sister.  A Mexican standoff.  A Deventer stalemate.  All ways to describe ties, and all ways to desribe the outcome of MFC Judge's Wednesday afrernoon match against Dynamite Kyiv.  Back in front of the home crowd after a successful trip to Cameroon, MFC Judge looked to get revenge against a squad they'd tied back on the road back on November 28th.   Unfortunately though, this matchup would end in the same result - a 1-1 draw.

After a disappointing end to the IMFF Cup, MFC Judge needed to bounce back.  And bounce back they did, in a big way - going into the heart of Yaoundé, running around the Metastadium with the energy of a toddler hyped up on one-too-many Pixie Sticks, and leaving with a 6-1 victory over Canon Yaoundé.

It was an admirable effort from the second unit, but one that ultimately came up short.  Needing a win to even have a shot at advancing, MFC Judge's battle against group leaders SCA Grande Île ended in a scoreless draw Monday night.

It's not over yet, but after Sunday afternoon's loss to Park Street Maple FC, the door is almost shut on MFC Judge's hopes of advancing out of the group stage of the IMFF Elites Cup.  In what was a must-win match, MFC Judge came up short, falling to the Swedish powerhouse 3-1..

In a match everyone expected them to win, MFC Judge fell flat on Saturday afternoon in its matchup against MFC CLUB 420. Facing a team near the bottom of the table, with an objectively less-talented squad, Bailiff von Bailiff and the rest of the DG Gavelers expected a repeat of the thrashing the club inflicted on Palma Pandas FC.  But it was a thrashing that never came.
