The celebration of MFC Judge's first-ever title is one that all of Deventer - and football fans around the world - will have etched in their memories forever. From Jean-Claude Schoeter's hour-long kegstand to Elmar Jacobs' rendition of Shakira's seminal hit "Hips Don't Lie," it was a memorable night for all involved. An estimated 750,000 fans lined the streets as a group of animatronic lions - the national animal of the Netherlands - pulled floats of players and coaches along the route, all the way to De Brink Square. Once there the party - and the ensuing shenanigans - really kicked off.
After a brief introduction from Deventer Mayor Ron König, Manager Pieter van der Linden stepped up to the microphone and began what can only be described as a speech that was the inspirational brainchild of a madman. The crowd loved it though, so that is all that matters. Not that it was ever in doubt, but one piece of news that came out of the celebration is that van der Linden will be back for next season as well.
"Like I told the boys after our final match of the season, we have more work to do" van der Linden said. "We will improve, we will press forward, and like Charlie Sheen in the 1990s, we will only get higher and higher. van der Linden out!"
After MFC Judge's beloved manager stepped down from the podium, the next one up was the club's guest of honor - the incomparable pop-superstar, the fuel to MFC Judge's competitive fire duing Alpha 0.3, the incomparable Kevin Federline. Because his contribution was somehow the most inspirational of the bunch, it is reproduced here in its entirety:
"Yo, yo, what's up, party people! K-Fed in the house, and let me tell you, we're here celebrating the champions of the pitch, my favorite soccer club, MFC Judge! Man, these players are like, my inspiration, you know? They got the moves, the skills, and that championship swagger.
I remember the days when I used to drop beats, but now, it's all about dropping goals and making history. MFC Judge, they're not just a team; they're a lifestyle, a vibe. We got Elmar Jacobs, Isidro Sarmiento, and the whole squad bringing that fire on the field.
So here's to MFC Judge, the kings of the game, the rulers of the pitch. We're not just winning championships; we're owning the game, one goal at a time. Keep it real, keep it Judge, and let's party like champions tonight! Yeah, yeah, MFC Judge in the house!"
And with that, MFC Judge really was in the house. Every house surrounding De Brink was filled with MFC Judge-focused parties. Women, children, babies of all ages and intelligence levels partied the night and morning away celebrating the Bronze League title. Evereyone is excited for the possibility of similar parties after next season - everyone, however, except for the local police force. Elmar Jacobs got a bit too rowdy for them, so they ARE NOT looking forward to dealing with another set of his shenanigans.
