Sarmiento Hattrick Vaults MFC Judge to Top of Table

It was the Friday-afternoon clash everyone was waiting for, as the top two teams in the Bronze League swuare off against each other at Deventer's Metastadium.  Tension filled the air for everyone in the MFL universe as MFC Judge prepared to host Inter Madrid - everyone except MFC Judge striker Isidro Sarmiento,  He was as cool as a cucumber, sitting in the team salon, getting his hair done, and listening to his go-to hype song - the incomparable Kevin Federline's "Popozão." As the beats of 2006's greatest song coursed through his veins, MFC Judge's No. 9 knew what he had to do.

Unfortunately for the fans, Sarmiento was absent for the first half.  At least mentally.  It was only after the restart that he really showed up.  In the 46th minute, inspired by the former Mr. Brittney Spears, Sarmiento notched his first goal, breaking through the tough Inter Madrid backline and firing a low, dipping shot into the back of the net..  In the 72nd minute he had a similar breakthrough to double MFC Judge's lead, then in the 76th minute he finished off his hattrick when he used his weak foot to score once again.

"I only took three shots today" Sarmiento said after the match. "But they were shots that mattered.  I did with those balls what my idol Kevin Federline did with the beats - hit them hard and made them count.  I am glad I was able to contribute the way I did today."

Sarmiento didn't do all of that on his own, however.  Elmar Jacobs assisted on two of those strikes and Øystein Ødegaard assisted on the third.

There is little rest for MFC Judge, however, as they are back in action tomorrow in yet another Bronze League match, this time against MFC CLUB 420.  MFC Judge will look to continue their good form in that clash.
