Despite Flurry of Shots, MFC Judge Unable to Win in Kyiv

A deluge of shots.  Balls flying all over the place.  Attempts ending without scoring.  For once those weren't phrases describing the dance floor at Kyiv's hottest nightclub, but instead were an accurate summary of MFC Judge's performance at the Metastadium in their match against Dynamite Kyiv.  Despite out-shooting the opposition 20-6, MFC Judge was still only able to convert one chance and left with a 1-1 draw.

The scoring got started in the 11th minute when striker Yasuo Nakao blasted one past Áron Kókai and into the back of the net to give the home-side a 1-0 advantage.  The goal was set up by a beautiful pass from the wing by Englishman Wayne Plant.  Attempts by MFC Judge to equalize in the 15th, 18th, 31st, 38th, 41st and 44th minutes all failed and the first half ended with the home-side up 1-0.

The second half would be similarly frustrating for MFC Judge.  Despite repeatedly advancing the ball into the final third, MFC Judge repeatedly failed to convert.  Just as the match seemed destined to end in failure, however, MFC Judge snatched a draw from the jaws of defeat with Isidro Sarmiento's 84th minute strike.  That 1-1 score is how the match would end.

With the draw - and with rival Inter Madrid's victory - MFC Judge drops into a two-way tie for second in the Bronze Division.  The club is next in action November 29th against Brussels MFC.
