In what will undoubtedly be the club's last move of the transfer window, Senegal-based left-back Cheikhou Sadio joined MFC Judge on Monday morning. The move brings the club's number of left-backs to two and creates a measure of depth that will be needed as the club prepares to enter the IMFF Cup while still competing in the Bronze League.
A product of the vaunted Samuri Soccer Club system, Sadio brings an all-around game that will slot in well with the other members of the club's backline. And at only 19 years old and with a strong 6'-4" frame to build upon, his future is bright.
"I am excited to be joining a top club like MFC Judge" Sadio told the reporters assembled in the Estelle Estelle Press Room. "When the opportunity came up to make the move, it's one I knew I had to pounce on. I am impressed by the club's form, by the project Pieter and the rest of the staff are building, and by the heights the club is trying to reach. I am also impressed by the club's history - my mother used to read me bedtime legends about The Judge, Fire and Ice, and giveaways. To represent that legacy now is a dream come true."
Cheikhou Sadio
Sadio has been assigned the number 12 shirt, something that caused the young defender to be overjoyed. "Twelve has always been my favorite number" Sadio remarked about the assignment. "It is the number of midgets I had in my harem when I had to fight of the monkey all those years ago. Donning the club's shirt with that numebr on the back will remind me of the heroism I showed that day - and push me to show the same level of heroism on the pitch."
With the club's secretarial staff now all being robots, Sadio has already been registered. Supporters can expect to see him in action tomorrow, November 28, in the club's league match against Dynamite Kyiv.
