In Shock Defeat, MFC Judge Falls to Agadir a City

A sullen Pieter van der Linden walked to the podium, stood and said simply - "I failed today.  I failed to prepare the team.  We overlooked Agadir a City.  I promise it will not happen again."

Playing against a team that began the day at the bottom of the Bronze League table, MFC Judge came out flat- unable to muster much offense at all.  The match gave Bailiff von Bailiff - who had thankfully recovered from the koek-overeating fiasco that had followed the last match - and the rest of the DG Gavelers little to cheer about.  Through the entire 90 minutes under the hot Moroccan sun MFC Judge only mustered three shots - with not even one even being on target.  MFC Judge's attack was so impotent that at one point Ferdinand Kozák, Agadir's keeper, was seen pulling out a small pillow and taking a nap.

The only goal of the match came in the 17th minute when Guido Schulze received a pass from Mattias Lagerström, cut past the MFC Judge defense, and chipped one over keeper Matko Bralić.  Nothing else of consequence happed the rest of the way.  It really was that forgettable of a match.

"There is nothing we can do now but move on and learn from this experience" midfielder Tunde Sanusi said after the match.  "I know we want to stay fresh for the IMFF Cup, but we also need to give our all every game.  We aim for trophies here - and this performance was not reflective of that ambition."

The loss drops MFC Judge from their perch atop the Bronze League table into third place.  The result also marks the club's first defeat of the young season.  The squad will look to rebound on December 5 against Palma Pandas FC, a club currently sitting in the 10th position in the table.
