Changes were promised after the preseason tournament, and today the first of those changes happened. MFC Judge let go of Scottish midfielder Willie Bradley and signed Peruvian Santos Urbina in his place. Bradley, who has since signed with Iron Division side Magical Rugs M.S.C., had this to say as he was boarding his flight at Deventer International Airport:
'It's always sad to leave a place you've grown to love so much. MFC Judge gave me my start in the MFL. It is where my OnlyFans career took off, where I became a household name among housewives, and where Bernt introduced me to the beauty that is a Frank Kaminsky layup. This club will forever have a place in my heart."
In his place the club brought in Santos Urbina, the 21 year-old Pervuvian midfielder who had somehow yet to find a contract. Known as the football-version of a Swiss Army knife, Urbina brings strong passing, defense and a level of physicality that had been lacking.
"It is always hard to say goodbye to someone like Willie" Assistant Kwame Asante said. "But when you have a chance to get someone like Santos, it's not a chance you pass up. We feel like he will slot in perfectly into our midfield and will be an essential building block for the project we are building here. We are confident that DG Gavelers will love seeing him on the pitch."
Santos had this to say about his move to MFC Judge:
"Thrilled to join MFC Judge in Deventer! Exciting times ahead with DG Gavelers cheering us on. Eager to contribute alongside incredible attackers like Elmar Jacobs, Isidro Sarmiento, and Guy Sanderson. Under Pieter van der Linden's leadership, I'm confident we'll make history together. Let's bring glory to the club!"
With the start of the Bronze League season only days away, DG Gavelers won't have to wait long to see Santos in action.
