MFC Judge's first-ever competitive match was one to remember, as the club beat Quito Goldfeathers 4-3 in its opening, group-stage match of the Pre-Season Tournament.  MFC Judge was paced by Elmar Jacobs' brace (with goals in the 38th and 81st minutes) and Jean-Claude Schoeters' THREE assists.  Tunde Sanusi and Guy Sanderson also hit the back of the net, with Sanusi scoring the club's first-ever goal in competitive play in the 27th minute.

"Scoring the first goal for MFC Judge was a surreal moment, a testament to our collective effort and determination."  Sanusi said.  "It's not just a goal; it's a symbol of our team's spirit and the beginning of a remarkable journey. I'm honored to be part of this historic milestone."

MFC Judge got off to a SCORCHING start, with first half goals from both Sanusi and Jacobs.  When the first half ended and the sides went back to the Metastadium's locker rooms,  The second half was a tighter affair.  Neither side scored for the first quarter-hour before Goldfeathers' Justo Videla got his side on the board in the 61st minute.  After Sanderson answered back in the 72nd minute for MFC Judge, Videla got his second of the game less than a minute later to make the score 3-2.

That is how the match would remain until the 81st minute, when Jacobs got back on the board for his second of the match to give MFC Judge a 4-2 lead.  With the game in hand, Øystein Ødegaard was booked in the 85th minute; a minute later Adrian Daniel added the final goal of the game for Goldfeathers, cutting MFC Judge's lead in half..  Keeper Matko Bralić also made a massive contribution, recording five saves to help seal the victory.

"I couldn't be prouder of our team's performance today". manager Pieter van der Linden said.  "Our first competitive match, and the resilience shown was outstanding. Scoring four goals and securing the win despite a tough fight from the opponent speaks volumes about our determination. Elmar Jacobs, Tunde Sanusi, Guy Sanderson, and Jean-Claude Schoeters showcased their talents brilliantly. This victory is just the beginning; we're here to make a mark!"

MFC Judge is next in action tomorrow, November 10, against Medellin Marauders.  Marauders also won their first match today, beating fellow Tier 7-Group 4 members Lagos MFC 1-0.  With the match determining which club will stand at the top of the group, it is sure to be a cagey, hard-fought affair.
